Repair Risks Disclaimer

Electronic repairs entail uncertainties. Your device may become irreparable or sustain damage during the process, especially with liquid-damaged devices where circuit board components degrade over time. For devices with glued-on screens like iPads, there’s a minimal risk of screen breakage during delicate prying.

Touch ID/Face ID on Apple devices may occasionally fail during repair. Integrated GPUs in older laptops and all-in-one computers, such as MacBooks/iMacs and certain HP, Dell, Toshiba models, may also exhibit unexpected failures. While we strive for optimal results, these risks are inherent to the repair process.

Pricing / Estimates

1. Published Prices:

  • Our prices, varying by device model and repair, are published on our price list. The displayed prices represent the approximate charge for the specified services.

2. Multiple Repair Costs:

  • We do not combine or stack up multiple repair costs without your approval. If you have a request not listed, submit a price request through our website.

3. Previous Repair Attempts

  • Our prices are intended for devices that have not been altered by prior repair attempts involving soldering equipment. For devices with prior repair attempts, we provide pricing on a case-by-case basis, as these cases are usually more difficult to repair.

4. Estimate Flexibility:

  • While we strive to provide thorough estimates, we do not guarantee their all-inclusiveness or finality. Identifying every issue before performing work is challenging. Estimates may evolve or change during servicing.

5. Update Notifications:

  • If technicians need to update the estimate, we will inform you promptly before proceeding further. Your approval is required for any changes.

6. Validity of Initial Estimate:

  • The initial estimate remains valid within the original scope of services. However, we may advise if the original service is unnecessary or unlikely to resolve the issue.

7. Customer Responsibility:

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to seek out an estimate. Upon device receipt, we assume you want us to proceed with the repair attempt. Customers should proactively reach out for an estimate or quote if needed.

8. Due Diligence:

  • Customers are responsible for reaching out for a quote ahead of time if one is needed. Our assumption upon receiving devices is that you want us to proceed with the repair attempt.

Invoicing

Upon completion of the repair or recovery process, we generate an invoice in our system. You will receive this invoice via email, and it will also be accessible in your list of invoices when logged in. Payment can be conveniently made online using the pay link provided in the attached invoice email or by clicking the pay button through our website. Once the invoice is paid, we proceed to ship your device back to you. Please ensure prompt payment to facilitate the return of your repaired device. Payment

Payment for our services is due within 14 days of the completion of the repair. Invoices settled before 3:00 PM EST will be shipped on the same business day; otherwise, they will be shipped on the next business day.

Devices not paid for within 60 days of the repair completion notification or a notification of the device being deemed not repairable will be considered abandoned. In such cases, the device may be repurposed for parts or sold to cover the costs associated with the repair and storage. We appreciate your timely payment to ensure a smooth process and return of your repaired device. Warranty

1. Duration of Warranty:

  • All parts and repair services come with a 60-day guarantee from the date of repair. This guarantee specifically covers the primary issue(s) addressed during the repair but does not extend to the entire device.

2. Exclusions from Warranty:

  • Accidental damage occurring after the device is received is not covered by our warranty. It’s advisable to back up your device before sending it, as data loss is not covered.

3. Complimentary Repairs:

  • Complimentary repairs are assessed on a case-by-case basis and are not covered under warranty, as our warranty specifically pertains to paid services.

4. Warranty Exclusions:

  • The warranty does not cover services using parts not purchased through us, software issues (including virus removal and operating system installation), new symptoms/issues not directly tied to the original service within the 60-day guarantee period, and any installation or modification of hardware within the guarantee period.

Return / Refund Policy

1. Repair Issues:

  • In the rare event that a previously fixed issue resurfaces, please return the device to us for re-evaluation and repair.

2. Refund for Unrepaired Devices:

  • If, after thorough attempts, we are unable to repair your device, we will initiate a refund for the repair cost.

3. Limitations on Refunds:

  • Refunds are issued specifically for the repair service provided. Please note that we cannot issue refunds for issues unrelated to our repair work.

4. Non-Refundable Shipping Charges:

  • Shipping charges incurred during the repair process are non-refundable. This includes both the initial shipment to us and the return shipment to you.

Repair Attempt Fee

We implement a repair attempt fee for most devices involving motherboard repairs, data recovery, or those with prior repair attempts. In the event that the repair is unsuccessful, data recovery is not possible, or the device has been previously worked on before reaching our shop, a repair attempt fee of $70 will be charged. This fee is intended to cover the time and efforts invested in attempting to repair your device. Abandoned Devices

Completed repairs or recoveries not paid within 60 days of completion will be considered abandoned. Additionally, devices received, repaired, or recovered successfully, but with no response from the customer, will be deemed abandoned after 1 year from the arrival date.

In the case of abandoned devices, we reserve the right to repurpose them for parts or sell them to cover unpaid labor and storage costs. It is essential to address payment and communication within the specified timeframes to avoid the classification of your device as abandoned.
